Rural mail...

I get such a kick out of our mail delivery...a gal delivers in a rust colored pick-up truck with a US Mail bumper sticker on the tailgate. Our dirt road dead-ends, so they stop at the neighbors down there first, then us on the way out. I can always hear the truck when I'm outside, speeding down the road from quite a distance away..usually between 8:30 and 9 a.m. If I see a trail of dust around that time, I know it was the mail truck that just came by! Love it :)

Summer fun..

Our two youngest granddaughters were here this past wkend and spent the night. They're only a year apart in age and always have fun together. We made homemade pizza for dinner (I always have the grand kids in the kitchen helping to make something).

The 90 plus degree weather was ideal for pulling out the kiddie pool for them, tho filling it with the well water proved to be icy cold! They also had fun filling water balloons from the outdoor sink's faucet and throwing at each other. My sweetie and I loaded them into the car and then off for ice cream that evening. The next morning after breakfast, we spread a blanket on the front porch and played a few card and board games before it was time to go. Everyone enjoyed:)
